Two ways:
1) On the front page of the site, you should notice the "Most Recent Posts" block that contains the 5 latest postings (other than Shoveletters and Spoonfuls). When logged in, you will see each article tagged with a red "new" or "updated" next to the post. Once you view it, the tag will go away.
2) There is a tab on the top of the page that says "New Entries". Click it, you will be presented a listing of every article from the newest to the oldest. Each one that you have not viewed will also be tagged "new" or "updated".
