Correct me if I am wrong Jim, but this below is what I see Ron's recent conclusion matching up with.[also ties in with my comments to Ron above]:

Yes, I can definitely see better where you are coming from. Of course, I still question things concerning it, as I even question God concerning the things Paul wrote in those chapters, things of which I still do not fully understand as I wish. But I do trust that what he wants me to understand, he will show me, as he does us all.

I am incourage know that God's love in planned in our hearts a love that is much greater then we can even think and has no end cannot be even measured just think on that being peace to the heart and mind not saying that I am in that peace all the time in my mind but it is always there no matter what.

One of my favorite prayers in Ehp.3 where pray for their eys be open to the love that surpasses all things that we even think and I come to better understanding of why I love that pray because His love was drawing to His true love.

I used to pray that prayer and have not been praying it lately but just writting about this the last few days has open my heart to pray for others again to see the true love of God.

I missed what Adam wrote

but, in looking at other perspectives, I would appear that Adam was made a vessel of wrath by God, because Jesus was the last Adam that destroyed the first Adam altogether.

Yet another way to see it though is through the mercy of God, because God provided coverings for them, and also did not allow them to eat of the tree of life. Both of these were acts of his mercy.

That which is of his wrath, called by Paul children of wrath, are indeed fitted to be vessels of destruction. Such was Paul and those he wrote to, when he said:

Eph 2:2 in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the children of disobedience;
Eph 2:3 among whom we also all once lived in the lust of our flesh, doing the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest.

Indeed, no longer being children of disobedience, upon whom God's wrath would come:

Col 3:6 for which things' sake the wrath of God comes on the children of disobedience.
Col 3:7 You also once walked in those, when you lived in them;

God, in his own way, wrapped in a holy mystery, chose to reveal his mercy to the gentile by the disobedience caused upon the Jew through his hardening their hearts. Then, having given mercy to the gentile, the hardened Jew, by being made jealous, might be shown mercy as well.

Rom 11:30 For as you in time past were disobedient to God, but now have obtained mercy by their disobedience,
Rom 11:31 even so these also have now been disobedient, that by the mercy shown to you they may also obtain mercy.

Thus, both Jew and Gentile receive mercy, but truly the vessels of destruction cannot be separated from vessels of mercy, for God's wrath and destruction work hand in hand with his mercy to achieve his glorious purpose toward all.

Rom 11:32 For God has shut up all [the all in vs.30,31] to disobedience, that he might have mercy on all.
