When I stop and just focus on God's love being right now it brings peace and joy to my heart and mind threw out the day and you I can stop and do this a lot of times threw out the day.

What a blessing the Father gives us to have fellowship with Him always and nothing that can stop but the mind of self and the Christ in us is greater then self.

Love Dan

Indeed, it is a joy to recognize his love during our days. The lie would have us believe he is not there or is not loving us right now. :)

I think it is very easy to assume God does not love us
when circumstances seem disheartening.

I was thinking about this, this morning.  Adam, your post kept coming back to me the last week.  I was getting irritated about it.   Not, that I was mad at you, but that I'd had that feeling of not being loved and abandoned not so long ago, like a few weeks ago.  Yesterday, something small happened in our life, (our old cockatiel died) and I was upset.  For a few minutes I went into this tirade about life, and God, and what I believed, and how it all fit together or was "falling apart."  The succession of circumstances that came into our lives made me feel really disillusioned and disheartened.  I got up this morning and read this on another site:

God lifts us up when we feel we're falling down. He holds us together when we feel we're falling apart. He is leading us into greater days, but also holding us, and comforting us in our worst of days. He has a plan that ends in a smile. A way that leads to life. You are in the embrace of God. You are loved. You are special. You are important. You are, well, simply wonderful! God is with you. (Searching for Grace.)

This spoke to my heart. ( It also confirms something Jim said to me about God's love in a pm a few weeks ago.)  It was the beginning for me of once again being aware His personal concern and love toward me, and I'm becoming aware again of the expanse of His grace.  I guess it could be called a 'rest', or a 'healing' journey again.

I don't know that my perceptions or what I know in my Spirit have changed or been challenged, but in my humanness, He knows that I am in need of becoming aware of how personal His love is, and how ' healing' that will be.

Well I am sure our enemy would love it if we spent
all of our time focusing on the prospect of God not
loving us. Sheesh, now that I think about it, the
Apostles sure did go out of their way to show us
that we were LOVED despite the trials and hard stuff
of life that might otherwise lead us to think we are separated from Christs Love.

I was telling Chantal the other day about my
watching the movie 'The Passion'. I was describing
the movements and expressions of the devil while he
followed [step by step]- Jesus during His carrying
His cross up to the place were He would be
crucified. He[the devil] seemed to think all was
going as planned. He assumed that there was nothing
to see other than this One who was supposedly of God
and was doing miracles was about to die and that he
would be no more. Yet is that the end of the story??
Things looked pretty damn bleak for Jesus. In fact I
seem to remember even the Lord seeing things pretty
cloudy for a moment. Remember His cry 'Eli Eli Lama
sabathani'? You know, 'Why have You forsaken Me'?

God VERY much caused this thing that the devil and
man assumed was an end in of itself and brought MANY
sons to glory! God did something miraculous in what
APPEARED as something totally worthless, a tragedy,
a senseless act of horror. So that we can encourage each other here today by saying : " Mary, Adam, God
is causing all things to work together for your
good." Why? Because you are CALLED according to His
purpose in Christ.

I do not claim to have total clarity on the matter
but, I will say that these thoughts encouraged me so
I will pass them on. Sorry to hear about your animal
passing, that can be a very sad thing. Really can.

Adam

Thanks Adam!  Yes, encouraging!  Your insight is UNIQUE, and I'm sure more than I will be encouraged by it!
