I was reading one of the Q & A questions on the home page, and was extremely blessed by one of the answers Jim had given to the person who was asking the question, in which he was referring to the Mind of Christ.  Actually, MUCH of what I read, really cleared up some confusion was coming at me in the form of fear.  You see, I wasn't really having a struggle with that prior to 3 years ago, but over time, it seemed I couldn't shake a general sense of anxiety I was beginning to have under constant 'crisis' situations.  I eventually had a difficult time seperating what I knew to be true about the Mind I have, and circumstances, and problems that seemed to be invading our lives at every turn.

I couldn't for the life of me, get past the anxiety and fear that seemed to be wreaking havoc on my soul.  But, after reading the anwers to the Q &A, I 'saw' the reference to the Mind of Christ, and was encouraged!

I am thinking today of the verse that says (and I don't have a bible handy, so I can't quote the reference),

"For God has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind."

It all sits very well me, but I was wondering if you could give me any insight you about this verse?  How do these things work together?  What is the 'power' that is being spoken of?

Thinking more on this, and having Dave mention that it sounds like a rhetorical question,  I'm thinking that the 'power' is the resurrection life of Christ within us, and the spirit would be His very Life/spirit within us.  And the mind of Christ given to us IS a sound mind, so they really all work together as one.

Anyhow, I'm thinking on this verse often today, as it was brought to my remembrance.  It confirms to me what is true, as I DO possess this mind!

I very much agree there Mary.

What do you see when you look at me? Not the visible me that your eyes can see. For in Christ I am dead, yet alive and free. Free to be it all, as he lives in me.
