Hello, just a few words about me the newbie. About 10 years ago after being locked away in a cold dark cell ( i wasnt aware that it was dark at the time because i didnt know what light was) I finally had the nads to say God I believe in you but i dont believe in this and i left the cell, yes I just got up and walked out of Church after 40 years of of imprisonment I just left. 40 years in the desert , really lol. Anywho I heard God say now that your honest with me I can teach you! So I have learned pretty much everything that is on the shovel website without ever being on it, and have had many confirmations like this website along the way. I like the fact that i learned it on my own thru reading and prayer, it means so much more than trying to understand the warden (preacher). There were things that were hard to learn. When you've been in the dark for so long too much light will just blind you ,so I had to go slow.I had to let Christ give me a new wine skin for the new wine would've burst the old one!Just glad to find this site. Metal sharpens metal, know what I mean. Love ya'll and look forward to chewing the fat. Much to say, but that's all for now.         &n bsp;  I'm not sure I posted this in the right forum?

Hello fofi

Thanks for jumping right on in. As far as where to post ... you can really post anywhere you want. The different forums are just supposed to help us remember where certain discussions were made so we can find them again. :)

I hear you about that cold dark cell. And yeah, we often don't think about it that way at the time. I think it didn't take me as long to recognize it because of the heavy concentration I got through going into it headlong in Bible college. There were just too many things I was confronted with to remain neutral. It amazed me how easily I could get caught in the crossfire by suggesting, teaching, and pursuing what was in my heart. I totally relate with you on how you learned of your real life in Christ on your own. It's cool to be able to encourage each other in the truth of him being the real teacher, isn't it?

Well, it's early here, and I'll be heading off to work soon, but I wanted to pop in and say hi before I went on my way. Once again, welcome! And please feel free to instigate some discussion around here.

Jim

Thanks for the welcome Mary and Dignz, and Jim. Yes its nice to be out where the air is fresh, and its nice to here from people who understand. I have much to say, but fear its all been said after looking over the website, buuuuut that probably won't stop me. For example I'm not eager to put a different name on what I believe, Its simply Christianity, the belief that Christ is the son of God and he died for our sin and thats the end of sin as far as i'm concerned (dead to it). I'v read a little about Gnostic Christianity, not the old but the new. They have a lot in common with what  I believe e.g. non judgmental way of reasoning, life in Christ is from the inside out.   Penny for your thoughts.

Well, I'm not sure I even know what Gnostic Christianity is, lol.   I do know what I hold to, though, and that is as Paul revealed the mystery of "Christ in you, the hope of glory,"  'the New Creation", etc.  These are all revelations that cause my heart to rejoice!  Anything and all pretaining to Christ, about Christ, and can I say again, Christ!  I guess I would say that the truth of the gospel, what it truly is, what has been revealed by the Holy Spirit, and I've been blessed over and over again by this TRUTH encouraging my heart!:)

So, for myself, I would say that I'm not so familiar with Gnostic Christianity so far as the 'name' goes.

As far as posting what you think has been shared already, I've already been encouraged by your interaction with Jim, and I do hope you keep posting!
