Hey everybody,

Do y'all even remember me?

well here I am, and I have logged in and yet there is no prompt to log out or off...

Along the left side of the page on my screen are links like forum options but it seems there are more below private messenger that will not show up.

All the same, I am guessing that is where one would log off.

Once in awhile I get over here to read, and haven't posted for a pretty long time but want to also say, "Hey God bless you, everyone!"

Love,
Bethany

So how do I log off from here, or should I figure if I can't log off I should just bear my heart and spill my guts right here???

Love,
KP

Dear McDave,

no, I still cannot log off, I could just stay away and maybe then it would go away ...my being logged on...you know how inactivity can do that.

Or maybe it is a geographical distinctive...cos in Minnesota there aint no problem logging off is there?

Logging...hmmm, something both Minnesota and Wisconsin are known for at all!

Love,
Bethany

Hi Bethany!

Not sure why you can't see the logoff button ... though I suspect it has something to do with the size of you screen so that perhaps the button is hidden below.  What browser do you use?

In any event you can always log off with this:

Hey Jim!

Well I use Mozilla Firefox and I played with the settings to make the page smaller but still my left side can only scroll as far down as where it reads,"private messenger"...
I am just so sure that the log off is below that.

All the same, I will use your link in this thread for now on.
Thank you!
love,
Bethhany

Dear Jim,

This thread is going to look very popular cos everytime I come to log off, it will count another view!

Things don't always look the way they really are!

Love,
Bethany

Dear Jim,

Is there any way that is would be unwise to never ever log out?

I mean that way my name maybe will stay on as if I am here but I am actually not online at all or am visiting other sites, or checking email, but is that such a big deal?

I could just stay on forever...kinda like one of those dummies that they have set up in squad cars so folks drive slow thinking that their is an officer present...

My name would be like a dummy!
And heck, I aint proud...

Love,
B

Hi Bethany,

The main reason logging out is beneficial is if others use your computer and also might get on the Shack. Another reason would be if you wanted to just read posts on the Shack without others knowing you were on.

If you left yourself logged in but were not active on the Shack it would show up under your avatar that you are not online (after 10 minutes of inactivity your name drops off the list of active users).
It's actually only a BROWSER login feature so that you don't have to login every time you want to visit the Shack.

Jim

Okay, so it tells on me if this internet community stuff is getting to be an addiction too!

And then you guys can all pray for me and start a thread to pray for my addiction  to the internet, and then I will have to stay on to see how many people are  praying for me and read all the dear things they all have to say!!!

Speaking of internet addiction...well if anyone else would get a chance to use the computer...it might be beneficial for me to log off!!!

Actually, I am nearly out the door with my two youngsters now.

It will be interesting for me to see what happens to my name while I am gone...Kinda like an easy experiment for me.

love,
B
