Yes, and I don't mean by the quip that I threw out there to stereotype anyone either.

I have a very close friend that gets involved with a different multi level marketing scheme all the time. But like you Jim, he has a difficult time getting past sharing the Spirit and resulting friendship in the Spirit, enough to close a sale. On the other hand, without exception, the last few ICs that we attended had people that were almost predatory with their multi level marketing schemes. It was sometimes difficult to even get past them to get to know anyone else. Whenever someone does the bait and switch technique like you described here I become incredibly uncomfortable. But I also know that there are many who simply want sell a great product and multi level is the only way some products are offered.
