is anyone else having any problems with major sluggishness?  not personal body sluggishness,   but INTERNET ... shovel site specifically?  i mean, sluggishness that is not ordinarily a problem for you on the shack?  just wondering if it is my 'puter or what?

Sluggish??  You and I are both old enough to remember life before color TV.

Now, we (that means me too) complain when our computer takes a couple of seconds longer.

Sorry, Sher.  Just had to joke a bit.

yeah ... you funny guy.

i know what you mean tho' ... however, it was not taking only a couple seconds longer.  it was lonnnnnger seconds.    just much longer than usual ... is not normal for it.  however, it seems to be better now ... back to its usual much quicker self.  my own private, personal computer geek may have 'tweeked' it ... or else it 'tweeked' its own self.    i love my geek!      vehhhhhwy much!

computer/cyberspace-time ... it is a whole different time-realm altogether, isn't it?

okay ... onward to saturday chores, messes, chaos, projects and the whole shabang!  heyyyyyyyo!  march!

no ... no spills on the 'puter.  or am i missing an inside joke?  or something funny from the past that i am supposed to be remembering?    i'm getting old, ya know?

so, did you once spill gumbo on yours?

No inside joke, Sher, just a poor one I guess that popped into this old brain of mine.  Sorry to cause consternation.

consternation - no way!    i enjoy the humor and light heartedness!       i just wasn't 'getting' that particular little ha ha very well.    no big deal whatsoever.  i am just so ditzy sometimes that i need even the jokes explained to me, but then of course when someone has to do that, the joke is lost and no fun anymore.    my mom used to tell me jokes and they were totally lost on me.  she would look at me and shake her head and say with frustration and disappointment, 'you have no sense of humor whatsoever', and then turn and walk away still shaking her head in disbelief.    she was exaggerating a bit, of course, but ... indeed, i just didn't 'get it'.

now having been married to the king of corn for so many years, there has actually developed a pretty good sense of humor in me if i do say so myself, but ... it still has its limitations, of course.  what is there, i give credit to the king of corn himself and his irresistable influence.

so as they say in the land down~under .... 'no worries mate'!

The burden of a joke is on the "jokester" (the one trying to tell it).  If you didn't get it it wasn't worth getting.

Nonetheless, do not eat gumbo over your laptop.  If you drop some it could make your 'puter run sluggishly. Didn't they put that warning on yours?
