Sometimes my sunday morning routine is to tune in to one of the local tv preachers.lol not sure why, insanity by definition means doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result.some days the messages can be benign others they can be laced with law/works,judgement and death.today was one of those days.even though we know the truth, there are times when it is helpful to have that truth in us affirmed .
when someone in supposed authority gets up and speaks a word to a group that seem to be soaking it up that is so far from the simple truth of the good news of Jesus it can make one wonder.after about 30 seconds of watching today,my mind said "To the Shovel Archives!" . and sure enough, there was a shovel letter already there dealing with exactly that subject.add to that the wealth of discussions between the many that have spent time at the shack and i wonder if it isn't time to compile these in some type of book form.
with the new media available it is easy to self publish and promote a book that could easily touch many lives beyond the humble place many of us call our home, the shack.
Just tossing this out as an idea.not sure who/how/when such a concoction could some about but i do know the why, because the life of christ flows in and out of this place and this could be a great way to spread the life and peace found here to new places.

I did pretty well in English but, I just don't have
time to write a book. Even if I did...I don't know
how! lol

I think mostly it would be a collection of favorites from here and the shovel.net. kind of like a "shack quotes" on steroids.it would take time to assemble but a start could be to find a suitable name for the book and then people could nominate favorites for the book.then they could be grouped by some method and then collected and saved as a pdf. lol jim,not trying to start something here but then again, maybe i am

You know, I have mulled over the idea of writing a book for quite some time now. Like since the 80s. I have often wondered how well a book I might write would be received, especially considering how well my writings seem to be avoided over the years.    Who knows, your post may motivate me to do something.

I know i would enjoy either a new work or a collection of what you have already put together here.with the proliferation of e readers like kindles and nooks publication can be as easy as putting up a pdf file.i have a couple of books in that format on my nook.Mick Mooneys book is an example both available on his website as a free download as a pdf and later at amazon and barnes and noble as a "real" book. Look! the  finished work of Jesus
