How come at the end of Revelation it says that you must believe in the book of Revelation?

Is that what it means or is this just my religious mindset?

I'm starting to get the impression lately that the Bible is not the word of God...only Jesus is.

Also, I heard from some dude named Orin on the net that Revelation is a gnostic text and not written by John, although Tektonics Apologetics Ministries disagrees completely.

Can  you give me the address of that text so I can see it in context?

I find it interesting that the most over looked part of Rev is the very beginning.  This is what it says...

The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to show unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John: (Rev 1:1)

The thing I want to emphasize is whose revelation it really is -- it says -- "The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to show unto his servants..."

here's the link to tektonics www.tektonics.org

I'll take a look at it a little later and get back to you.  Thanks for the links.

I read something a few days ago that I'd never considered before. The theory is that Paul, not John was the author of Revelation. It was over at Godshew.org if anybody is interested in reading more about that theory. Click on "Revelations on Revelation".

The theory is something to the effect that Revelation was written by Paul as a satire, to uncover John, who many thought to be divine. I think the actual title of Revelation in the KJV is something like "The Revelation of St. John the Divine". Maybe there is something to the theory after all. Who knows?.......
