Hi folks,

In the past 4 years I visited the shovel / shack websites a couple of times. During different times in my life I would return here to read and to get some healthy perspective again. I never posted much because of computer problems and other stuff. Recently I bumped into some things in my life through which God showed me (again ) very gently that my life is still 100% grace, not 90% my efforts. I'm happy to have discovered that and so much of the shovel / shack spoke volumes to me during the last week.

Thanks for all that great input. It helps a lot to point to Jesus. I'm 25 and there are so many voices speaking to young people saying all kinds of things the spirit in me is not saying. So it is great to hear some voices speak of rest and grace and life and the mystery of Jesus and so on.

Hi Rudolf.  It's encouraging to hear this.  Thanks for writing.  I've been in your fair country a few times.
I'd be interested in hearing more what kinds of things you hear voices telling people like you that the Spirit is not.

hi rudolf.  i too would visit the shack and take in the conversations and appreciate the topics everyone was writing about but failed to join in due my techno-less abilities.  finally, i've broken out of my shell and joined in more often than sitting on the sidelines.  i appreciate the fellowship here very much.  the shack also helps to reinforce my relationship with God, definitely a good thing for me.  i've been more consumed in lifeless things over the past years and had started to loose myself and my relationship with God.  the grace of God has been in my face the whole time, i was just too miserable to notice.

hats off to you for listening to the Spirit at such a young age, very cool to hear.

Thanks for the warm welcome!

@Tim P: Other voices? Well, a lot of young people are looking up to older people to give them guidance. Instead of pointing to Jesus, most messages seem to be about "read your bible pray every day" or the 'try harder' mentality. The shack helped me to see Jesus and that it's truly all about Him.

i just found this!     i get so confused with the welcomes and the greetings and which is which, but it doesnt' matter.  you are here, we are here and we are all here together.

hey, that reminds me of an old beetles tune.  wasn't there something like that  ... "i am here, you are here, they are here and we are all togetherrrrr."  and something about a sand man?    now i want to hear that song and find out 'what it's all about, alfie.'

i know, i know, that is music that is all waaaaay too old for you young whippersnappers to know about!    well, maybe the alfie tune, but ... surely not the BEETLES!  everyone knows THEM!

does anyone even remember who sang that tune about alfie?????

anyway ...   rolling right along ...

Glad to know all those years working in the record shop weren't for nothing. It was Dione Warwick in her pre-psychic friends network days
